Google Engage For Agencies is the company’s latest effort to educate its customers about the online search advertising market and Google’s offerings in particular. Upon completing four free, Web-based courses, users can unlock coupons redeemable for free AdWords buys. From there, business owners can decide to get officially certified as experts in Google AdWords.
This isn’t the first time Google has offered Adwords training for free online. Similarly, Conversion University helps site owners get up to speed with their analytics product. While Engage For Agencies is clearly intended for advertising and marketing agencies, it can be beneficial for any business owner looking to learn more about digital advertising.
The first of four courses is a 24-minute introduction that provides an overview of Google and the basics of search and display advertising. It drills down into specific Google products like YouTube and Google Places and discusses the growing significance of mobile advertising.
