Google Docs Code Shows Potential Media Preview, Audio Player and Music Collection Features

googledocs.jpg It looks like Google Docs may become a place for people to store their media collections, preview items and even play audio files.

According to the Google Operating System blog, which is not affiliated with Google, the code shows a number of ways people may preview media items:

The code shows a player for audio files:

Google Operating System theorizes that the code will be used in the new Google Docs interface:

The Google Doc code shows how services such as Dropbox are influencing the market for online media storage services. As one commenter pointed out: “…looks like Google Docs is being pushed. Better media management, some of Dropbox’s best features, and it will be much more tempting to move everything into the cloud.”
