The Best (and Worst) Startup Logos of 2010

groupon150150.jpgThe graphic design marketplace DesignCrowd has just published a list of its take on the best and worst startup logos from 2010. As logo design is one of the creative services most likely to be outsourced, it’s interesting to see DesignCrowd’s assessment of what design trends and styles were innovative and successful. The list breaks it down into the good, the average, and the ugly.

On the list of good logos are many of this year’s most successful companies (Groupon, for example). But some of this year’s popular startups made it on the ugly logo list as well (such as Foursquare, not surprisingly).

I’m not sure I agree with all these assessments. I mean, hello, GitHub’s logo is awesome, and Hipmunk’s logo (my favorite, I think) is missing. What do you think of the list? What design successes – and failures – make your 2010 list?
