I don’t know about you, but when I think of tech, “fashion” isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Instead, I picture unkempt, scraggly beards, Cheetos-stained T-shirts and pale skin that would make an Asian princess jealous. But born of all these truly unsightly things are technologies that can help keep the rest of us stylin’.

Stay Home, Dress Up
For those of you that actually know what your shirt size is, why spend your time wandering malls when you can find a double-breasted blazer or a pair of slacks from the comfort of your home? Ebay Fashion offers a plethora of slick duds, organized by measurement, brand, color, price and more. It even takes the dusty smell out of second-hand shopping, offering the ability to buy used as well as new clothing. Heck, you can even use the iPhone app, which launched earlier this year.
Don’t Be Weirdo Beardo
We know all too well the mesmerizing effects of the Intertubes, but that’s no reason to give up all semblance of control and turn into weirdo beardo. If it’s been a while since you’ve put the razor to your face, it can be a daunting experience, but there are a few free apps out there that could help assuage that fear. Want to see what you might look like with the handlebar instead of the wooly mammoth? There are a number of apps, from Shave-O-Matic to Beard Me that’ll preview a cleaned up you before you put a razor to your face.
Fashionistas We Are Not…
While there is a plethora of fashion apps to keep the ladies lookin’ good, there’s seemingly nothing out there to tell us guys if our shirt matches our tie. Consider this a call to arms. Women not only have an entire wardrobe manager for the iPhone, but they can ask a stylist for advice on the go. We, too, have wondered if this shirt looks dumb. We, too, have asked ourselves if the goatee really works or if we should go with the neatly trimmed five o’ clock shadow. Where’s our app for that?
