UK operator Three confirms that all its phones are now sold unlocked

UK operator Three has confirmed it has been selling all of its handsets unlocked for some time, allowing them to be used on rival networks. The official announcement follows a report published today by regulator Ofcom, which reveals that Three is the only British mobile network to be offering unlocked handsets. Three hopes the move will attract more customers by allowing them greater flexibility to sell or reuse the handset on a different network in the future.
