Burger-chomping McDonalds customers in the UK will soon get the opportunity to wirelessly charge their Qi-compliant (pronounced ‘Chee’) smartphones while in the company’s restaurants, thanks to an extended deal with Air Charge. The good news: There will be more than 600 individual wireless chargers awaiting (completely free) use. The bad news: Those 600 charging spots will be spread across only 50 of the company’s restaurants in the UK, with many of them in London. In total, there are more than 1,200 McDonalds in the UK, so the chances of randomly walking into one with a Qi charger seems quite low.…
