In a move aimed at unclogging the Internet’s congested pipes, the FCC just expanded Wi-Fi spectrum for wireless networking devices today. The decision, which opens up the lower part of the 5GHz spectrum, reallocates 100MHz of airwaves that were previously reserved for satellite phones.
