HootSuite has bounced back from a denial of service (DoS) attack on Thursday night that prevented users from accessing the social media platform.
The attack started around 9:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, according to a blog post from CEO Ryan Holmes on the HootSuite website

Holmes said no customer data was at risk.
“While HootSuite users were for a short time unable to access the dashboard, service has now been restored, and no customer data was compromised. Only web traffic to the dashboard and mobile APIs was affected,” Holmes wrote. “HootSuite Engineering and Security teams were able to respond immediately, and are working with hosting providers to mitigate the impact of any future attacks.” Read more…
