The nutrition facts label found on most food products may be up for a makeover for the first time in two decades
Administration health officials and first lady Michelle Obama unveiled the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) proposed new design for the chart, which is included on about 700,000 products, at a news conference held at the White House on Thursday.

“We’re overhauling these labels to make them easier to read and understand,” Obama said. “You as a parent and a consumer should be able to walk into a grocery story, pick an item off the shelf and determine if this product is good for your family.” Read more…
