New Firefox users will soon be seeing advertisements when they open a new tab
Non-profit software group Mozilla announced in that it is rolling out “Directory Tiles,” a program that will place various types of content in tiles on the tabs opened by new users.
Firefox currently populates these tiles with frequently visited websites.
For new users, “Directory Tiles” will present users with elements from Mozilla, popular and geographically relevant websites, and “sponsored content from hand-picked partners.”
