The Gillmor Gang — Robert Scoble, Keith Teare, Kevin Marks, and Steve Gillmor — talk everything under the sun; Flappy Bird, Nadella and Bill, Foursquare, and the politics of health care. Not your usual fake banter and tea, but something in the air. We’re breaking in the new TriCaster and Skype array, and close to solving the sound dynamics.
This show has a spirit on the rise, the notion that we can mix steady pressure with attention and judgement. I watched (mostly listened) to an enterprise show in preparation, and strove to retain the purpose but expand on the scope to include the larger context of the mobile shutout of all but Google and Apple. We don’t underestimate the Redmond resolve, but they sure do have a hard problem on their hands.
