At the stroke of midnight, Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher’s Wall Street Journal-owned tech news site AllThingsD died and the two announced a new venture to take its place: Re/code.
A message on the WordPress-created site states that it is set for a launch at 12 AM EST on Jan. 2. Meanwhile, if you try to log on to allthingsd.com, you will be directed to WSJ.D, a new tech news site from The Wall Street Journal

WSJ.com/tech will be the home of WSJD’s daily updates on “a wide range of topics, from global public tech companies and pre-IPO startups to personal technology reviews and everything in between,” according to a press release from the company Read more…
