While much of the discussion in the gaming world this year centered around the highly-anticipated releases of the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 gaming consoles, 2013 has also been a strong year for releases of individual games.
Celebrated franchises such as Pokémon, Grand Theft Auto, and Saints Row released new installments, and original games such as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and The Stanley Parable demonstrated great imaginative capabilities of developers.
We rounded up 25 of the year’s most impressive games in the poll below. Vote for your favorites to help us determine the best video game of 2013, and tell us why in the comments.
