Where are you checking in?
More importantly … why are you checking in?
In March, 16.7 million used location check-ins with services like Facebook Places, Foursquare and Gowalla, with 75% coming via mobile phones. In the next year, Foursquare is going to focus on mobile innovation and how to use all the capabilities of the smartphone to surface data to give users more utility with location services. Check out the live stream of Foursquare head of product Alex Rainert speaking with Dan Patterson from ABC News on the main stage at the ReadWriteWeb 2Way Summit after the jump.
“We are thinking about ways to use all our great data,” Rainert said. “Phones are these great sensors that we are carrying around with us. We want to be smart about how we surface that data.”
