Freelance User Interface Designer – Senior

We’re a young, fast-paced design and development company with a passion for form and function. We’re looking for freelance senior web/UI designer. We produce everything from complex web applications to high-end websites. If you’re a good web designer who plays well with others (no divas need apply) then we’d love to have you on board. Magneto Developer Needed

We are looking for a talented LAMP developer with experience in Magento to build an online ecommerce store.

The Opportunity
We are looking to build an online presence to facilitate operations and sales through various channels and more.

Although we are present globally this does not mean one size fits all. We plan to build localization into our system to present products based on the region the user is visiting. Further we would like to build an online application to try the combinations (strap, buckles and accessories) before buying and many other interesting features.

Job Description
The ideal candidate will be a LAMP developer with atleast 3 of years experience. You should have worked with Magento for a minimum of 1 year and will have have built a few online e-commerce stores which are currently operational.

Further you should have thorough understanding of javascript and jQuery. You should be able to convert PSDs to semantic html and CSS.

Our team is currently spread throughout the globe and location does not matter. This position is initially on contract.

PHP Developer to Complete a Symfony Project

WordPress Site Development

Budget: $500 to $1,000

We are currently developing our roster for wordpress specific website developers.

At the moment we have three small websites on the books one large website in the pipeline and we can go out and get more work once we have established a relationship for work.

In the past we have been developing sites in house but this is not our core focus and want to move away from this. Our time is best served in managing projects, dealing with clients and focusing on the commercial imperative for our customers.

We produce websites that a very focussed on getting the commercial results for our customers so someone who has and in-depth understanding of conversion funnels, calls to action and information structuring is going to be greatly appreciated.

We also have a great appreciation for what good design can do for a project. We maintain a no cheesy design policy.

What we need
Someone who can take clear but hand drawn wireframes with supplied media copy, photographs, and images in a dropbox and produce a PDS mockup for client approval that will translate well to coding.

Someone who can then code the site (not using a slice service) to the standards listed below.

Finally someone who can test their own site and undertake corrections.

Skills

Photoshop; colour correction, image corrections, and interface design for coding.

HTML: A sites to be coded to HTML5, with good notation and efficient and fast loading code.

CSS: If it is can be done in CSS instead of Photoshop, we want it done in CSS.

PHP & WordPress: efficient code and good notation, our focus for word press is to minimise plugins, and to enable everything possible to be changeable.

A great command of the English language. We are all for giving people a go but problems always arise in communication where English skills of our suppliers are not great.
