Americans are on multiple social media networks and 35% of them get news on more than one, leading to fragmentation of news gathering through social media.
However, the vast majority (65%) of Americans who use social media for news only get that news from one social network, and Facebook is the king, according to a new report by the Pew Research Center released on Thursday.
