How can Louis Vuitton top a hot air balloon landing? Hard to say, but a harpsichord performance by David Bowie might do the trick
The rock legend performs a version of a song “I’d Rather Be High” from his new album The Next Day in a new Louis Vuitton ad. (The “Venetian Mix” version of the song here is different than the one you’ll find on the album.) The appearance seems to cap off a fever dream that’s somehow tied up with the Louis Vuitton brand.
The plot features Arizona Muse, a character in a previous Louis Vuitton ad, stumbling on Bowie, who is surrounded by 18th century dandies in Venice. Muse sidles up next to Bowie and the two exchange meaningful glances, but alas, it was all a dream — or was it? Read more…
