In this edition of “Twitter worst practices” a Florida radio host got fired after tweeting a $1,000 bounty for injuring a rival college-football player

Dan Sileo is was a sports talk-radio host for Miami’s WMEN. He once played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, which is a crucial fact in this story. The previously unbeaten Hurricanes got whipped this weekend by rival Florida State. During the game, at least one Florida State player mockingly made Miami’s trademark “U” hand gesture.

The disrespect severely rankled Sileo, who later posted this tweet (the “6 weeks” part references an assumed rematch between Florida State and Miami in the ACC championship game): Read more…
