Dr. Seuss made an appearance on the Senate floor on Tuesday, thanks to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. Cruz engaged in a 21-hour “filibuster” prior to a vote on a government spending bill which would defund Obamacare with a splendidly dramatic reading of Green Eggs and Ham

Cruz took the Senate floor just before 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday (though not technically to filibuster, since he had no chance of delaying the scheduled vote).
