The World Risk Index ranked the Philippines to be the third most vulnerable country to climate change and natural disasters. Its capital, Manila, is the second most at risk city on the planet. To address these risks, +SocialGood organizers are planning a Meetup in Manila of more than 1,000 people to discuss how to digital tools can be used for disaster preparedness and response.
This Meetup in Manila is one of more than 120 planned around the world in conjunction with the Social Good Summit. For the second consecutive year, the discussion of how digital tools can best be used to prepare for the greatest challenges of 2030 won’t happen solely on the Social Good Summit stage at the 92Y.
