Canadian rock band Nickelback released its first major single, “How You Remind Me,” the summer of 2001The song was an instant hit. By December of that year, it reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; in 2002, Billboard Monitor named it the “most-played song” of the year.

The track eventually sold more than 500,000 copies, locked down a “Gold” chart status and, by 2009, spun 1.2 billion times across all channels. At this point, it has released five full-length albums, received 12 Juno Awards and pocketed dozens of radio hits.
